Moose are making a comeback in the Adirondack Region of upstate New York.
Millie the Moose took time out on Sunday October 18, 2009 to sun bathe under a birch tree in Lake Placid. Millie has been roaming around the residential neighborhoods of Swiss Road and Victor Herbet road sneaking up on neighbors who are busy raking their lawns! Millie will head south in a few weeks where she has a condo on Florida's west coast...
Millie drew quite a crowd of curious onlookers including the State Police, Lake Placid Police and DEC officers.
